Spotting or AF??

Ok, I've had a pretty regular cycle for some time now 27-30 days at least a year. We've been TTC for 4 months now and I've been temping to try and see when I ovulate. The average has been on day 16 of my cycle. This month, I started with some brown spotting on day 16, on day 17 it was still brown and then had a reddish tinge to it so I thought I was getting AF way early. Day 18 it's very faintly brown and very watery. I don't know if this is just weird spotting that has never happened before this early or I should count it as AF??? I didn't have any cramping along with the spotting and usually during AF I have bad cramps for two days. We BD'd Day 7, 12 and 16. My husband works opposite shift than me so it is difficult for us to get alone time especially with our 3yo daughter. I'm just confused and don't know if there's still a chance I could either be pregnant or still get pregnant. Or maybe I just never even ovulated this month.
