Hi Ladies,

I am currently 6 weeks pregnant after suffering a MMC at 13 weeks in July. I started spotting lightly on Friday (barely enough to see, ranging from tan/brown to pin/light red). Only happened a tiny bit each day but I panicked and went the ER. They drew blood and checked my HCG it was 6400 ( I was 5 weeks 3 days at this point). He also checked to see that my cervix was closed which it was. The next morning I had a transvaginal ultrasound which showed a small fetal pole but no heartbeat. I then waited until Tuesday to see my family doctor (by Tuesday spotting had stopped). My family doctor said not to worry that this could be nothing. I went this morning for a second beta HCG draw to check that it is increasing. I am now waiting and driving myself insane. Is there anyone out there who has experienced this?

At 9 weeks with my current pregnancy, I had light spotting every day for about 5 days. I finally called my OB and went in for an ultrasound. Baby was fine and had a healthy HB. I'm now 32 weeks and everything has been fine and there has been no more bleeding.

I also had a single day of spotting at 17 weeks with my daughter, who is now almost 2 years old.

ironically, I had NO spotting whatsoever with my MMC, only with my two healthy pregnancies.

It's terrifying and we all know it CAN mean bad things, but it can also mean absolutely nothing. Good luck!!!!

I got my second beta hcg and it has gone up to 23000, so I am relaxing a bit since that was the first sign of my MMC was my low hcg.

That's great news! I had one day of spotting with this pregnancy, and everything turned out fine (I am now overdue). My sister's last 3 -- all successes -- she had significant spotting for weeks/months. Sometimes it's really nothing!

I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks 1 day and they found a subchorionic haematoma. So i believe this was the cause of all my spotting. Went for another hcg draw today so I am on edge waiting again.
