Hi

well we have finally after 4 years 8 months been told ivf our only option.

we are unexplained. It has taken this long as I had to lose weight before they would re refer me. So having had all the tests 2 years ago I havr had them all done again, but at a hospital that doesnt do ivf.*

Finally the doctor got the go ahead to apply to our pct for ivf.

so sent marys have sent me a letter with a pink eligibility form which I have completed and sent back and they have confirmed receipt

how long will it take from this point to start a cycle? Im desperate to get moving as our lives have been on hold now for nearly 5 years.

I feel your pain... I have been LTTTC for 3 years now after years of tests getting passed from pillar to post getting no where i was finally referred to St Mary's, I am just awaiting my consultation now so i can find out my results... i already know what they will be as i have had these done already at my local hospital. I have been put in the category for unexplained which is very frustrating :(
I have also been put on a TABLET study at St Mary's as they have found i have thyroid antibodies. They have already told me that the best option for myself and partner will probs be IVF. Sorry i can not answer your question, all i know is that i have had to mither them for an apt every time as they never really push it. Good Luck !! :) Fingers crossed for you xxx keep me updated with how it goes for you hun xxx

Thanks. Good luck to you too. Im still awaiting for my first appt for St Marys.

I was at St Marys. There is a thread on the fertility friends forum which is fairly busy xx

Hi Ladies I was just wondering how you got on with your appointments at St Marys? xxx

Hi. I'm booked in for scratch om 12th Jan and hopefully starting treatment a few days later.

How are you getting on?

Let me know how it goes ! I have been offered ivf we were waiting until Xmas etc had been then going to see when we can go for it ! Xx

I will do. It feels like it's taken forever to get here.

Keep us posted on how things go for you too. Xx

I know what you mean every week that goes by seems forever ! It's a long journey but hopefully worth it :) I had to ring up to chase my appointments etc with St Mary's the receptionists never really seem to know whats going on! We're are going to give it another month or so then try. But it could be a while yet as your not always accepted straight away xx

Hi there, this may seem really random but I was reading around the threads and saw the snipit of your story in your signature. What a beautiful and inspiring story! I'm so happy for you and your sweet babes. <3 :) We would also love to adopt.

Ah thank you so much, what a lovely thing to say!! Adoption is a wonderful amazing thing for everyone. I always wanted to adopt too, it's just naturally we tried for biological children first. It wasn't to be and I'm so glad. Then things all happened in reverse!! :haha: I guess what's meant to be will be. Masses of good luck to you trying to conceive and to all at St Mary's too :hugs:
