"stair step" clomid

Hi ladies . New here, but not new to BNB. Dh and I have been TTC for a year (officially in a few days). This journey has been much longer then I had ever imagined.

I started 1st round Clomid 50mg in Dec, ovulated, and resulted in BFN

Started 2nd round of Clomid 50mg in January, only had 13mm follicle and estrogen decreasing, so instead of starting provera or waiting out a little to see if I OVd...Dr increased me immediately to another round at 100mg on day 15! While I am glad I dont have to wait out another long cycle..it seems pretty aggressive. I was wondering if anyone ever tried this method? I go in next Tuesday to see there was any improvement, FX.

My dr. is sort of similar and i wondered the same thing, but he's very highly recommended and has been doing this FOREVER, so i'm going to trust him for a while.

I didn't OV on 50 of Clomid, so on day 17 I started provera again to bring my period and upped clomid to 100
