hey Lynn thanks for the welcome =)
i have to wait till shows her face lol then once shes gone a week later i go in for my scrape =( i hope its not cancer either its gonna ruin my hopes so im hoping that its just PCOS playing tricks and all and Clomid didnt really work for me i ovulated once on it and s switched to something else and i the only side effect it cause for me beside the hot and cold flashes was that i couldnt sleep i was uncomfortable but when is it ur going to see your dr again ? and hows the opks going are u still testing ?

Maybe hell prescribe a different type of ovulation med!

to be honest i quit using opks im fed up and ticked off! so ill just wait it out until i take my second dose of provera lol

my dr gave me femera which was easier then clomid and i did ovulate

So last night I was like screw it i have 3 opks left i might as well use them! well I used it and it was the darkest one yet! this morning I tested too and it was slightly darker i think lol
but it was really weird. today when i wiped there was a very tiny bit of brownish blood
its not likely its AF because i havent ovulated but i dont know why i would have some spotting
is there such thing as Ovulating spotting? lol

yes i heard some females do spot when they ovulate.... so u better get to bding girl gl and my fx for u much baby dust keep us posted on how u feel and thats good u ovulated on ur own did ur dr not wanna check to make sure ? my dr when she puts me on provera for af after af is done like around cd 17 or so she would do blood work to see if i have ovulated if u want call up and see if ur still not sure, but im sure if ur lines are darker then that control line ur good =) yayayayaya

psh girl i tested last night before I went to bed and it was lighter.. i quit

i might call me doctor and ask him about that. she didnt suggest it, but maybe i should.
she basically prescribed provera because my cycles are so freakin long!

i realllly hope that i ovulated and the bleeding was from that and my opk was lighter because the LH was going down from ovulation.

who knows. Im gonna test around the 16 because ill be 21 and i dont want to drink and be pregnant! lol

hahahah silly girl but yes u dont wanna drink while preggers but if the line is lighter that could be a short surge ( still sounds good) did u get enough bd in there lol do u ever do bbt?

ill test before I celebrate but i think ill be okay! I just got my prescription of provera filled today so it will be ready at the end of the month !

Hello Lynn-

Sorry to hear you didn't think you ovulated. Today is my last day of AF and I have no idea what to look for in signs of ovulation. I meant to start BBT on my first day of my period but with finals it was to much for me to do (late late nights and early early mornings meant like 2-3 hours sleep). So I am not sure can I start BBT on CD 8?

All I know for sure is Provera really worked for me TMI but this period was by far one of the worst ever but my Dr. said that is great it did its job! So much for my planning it hit me right as Finals Started!!! My Dr. has me doing Provera every 60 days unless I regulate myself you are doing it monthly?

hey Grace u shuld be able to start BBT becuz O is usually cd 17+ so u can they also say u can check ur cervix but not sure how that works when i was doing the OPK my dr told me to wait tll cd 13 to start testing so go for it hun = )

Lynn idk i still think u did ifur line was darker then that control line maybe u hve a short surge

Good luck to you both, Sophie, I had the same fear of cancer (ovarian) and oddly they cant really do too many test to check for that, but I got a pap, blood, and ultrasound to ensure nothing was wrong with me..
I really feel having over 2 year cycles isnt right, (though I do have a pituitary problem)..
I also take the metformin but doesnt always work.

Im so depressed not having AF or BFP its crazy!!

hey Rachel yea i know it has me going crazy my dr wants to do a scrape to check my lining as well its crazy cuz when i 1st started metformin it didnt work at least in my mind cuz af didnt come or anything and that was on 2000mg im not on 1000mg and ive lost like 5 pounds so maybe its doing something lol =)
you should go for another round of progest.

im glad it worked for you byhisgrace! thats a good sign that it worked!! hopefully you ovulate! and you should be okay to use bbt! just be sure you do it the same time and before you get up or even talk because that could throw it off.
i didnt know that when i first tried it so every morning i woke up at different times and walked to my bathroom and did it and it wasnt accurate.

rachel i know how you feel. just keep your head up! it will happen somehow and it will be perfect timing. just not now. at least thats what i keep telling myself

Hi everyone!
So a little bit about my experience.....I was diagnosed with PCOS in February. I haven't had an ultrasound of my ovaries yet but my doctor was able to diagnose me by my symptoms. I also just found out that my hubby has some abnormal sperm. I'm not sure what percentage because we have an apt with a Urologist next week. My OBGYN referred him to a urologist after his semen analysis came back abnormal so now we are waiting to find out more about that. I had a miscarriage on April 1st of this year and have been trying really hard to conceive since! AF got back to normal in June and has been normal since; up until last month. I usually have a normal 6 day period, although last month it came and lasted 8 days, was a lot lighter, and I didn't cramp at all. I went to get blood work to make sure I wasn't having another MC but the hcg was negative so that was a good thing. However, My period hasn't come back and my doctor had me come in to take the day 21 progesterone to see if I ovulated and I didn't. Sooooo, he prescribed me Provera to "jumpstart" my period and Clomid to take on the 3rd day of my period when the Provera starts to work. The bad thing is...the Provera isn't working yet. I took it last Wednesday so it has been 8 days and my doctor told me that it should start within 5 days after I started it. He actually prescribed me Provera 10mg qty 5 and he told me to take all 5 pills at once. Everything else that I have read about people taking Provera has said that they were prescribed to take it once a day for 5/10 days so I'm confused as to why he would've had me take them all at once. Has anyone ever been told to take all 5 pills at once??

maybe the more you take at once or the faster you take them the faster they kick in
did AF come right after you took all at once?
I hope clomid works for you! I think my dr will prescribe clomid next visit!

Well I wrote that post last night and hadn't started my period yet and then I started last night afterwards!! I spotted very lightly last night so I wasn't sure that it was an actual period but this morning I woke up at 5am from cramping so bad and it was a full blown period! It's super heavy this time. My periods are always heavy but this time I guess the Provera made it extra heavy. But the answer to your question lynn1216 is that no AF did not come right after taking all 5 pills (50mg) of Provera at once. I believe that is WHY my doctor prescribed it to me like that, but it didn't make it any quicker. I took the pills last Wednesday on 12/4/13 and didn't start AF until last night 12/12/13......making that 8 days of waiting for AF to come. The doctor told me to call him if it hadn't started in 5 days after I took it so I did and he said to come get a blood test to make sure I'm not pregnant and then go ahead and start the Clomid (which was Tuesday) but I told him I wanted to wait a couple more days just to see if AF would arrive and he said that's fine, it was up to me, and I did and it came!! so now just waiting til Sunday to start the Clomid. I'm so nervous!

I think im gonna test on Monday because IF i ovulated i think it would have been on the 5th so thats 11 dpo. plus its my 21st birthday so i need to know whether i can drink that night or not haha

lol yea I know what you mean about your 21st birthday...but honestly, I drank 2 drinks on my 21st birthday and it was just blah! nothing exciting lol and I think I've drank maybe 3 times since just for a social drink at our company christmas parties. So yea, trust me, it's better to keep your body healthy for your future baby than to worry about drinking bc in my opinion, it's just not as fun as everyone else makes it out to be. :-/ but if you do, just be double sure that you're not PG!! lots of luck to you that your test is a BFP!!

landblove - thats crazy that ur d r told u to take all those pills at once ive never heard f that and hes lucky nothing bad happen to you but of course hes the dr and he knows what hes doing i mean it even says on the bottle not to take more then one but not sure im glad it worked an that af did come... and yes the provera might be making r cramps worse just cuz its a forces af atleast thats how i look at it im on day 3 of the pill and since i started taking them ive had every sign of af back hurts cramps etc.. but then again havent seen af since jan.. keep us posted hun on how u feeling
