starting clomid just need some advice :)

hi ladies finally been given clomid as we have unexplained infertility. doc checked my progesterone level and he said it was abit low (28) he said a good ovulation he would like to see is 40+ so im starting 50g of clomid i have a 25 day cycle and i need to take it from day 2-6 ive got to have a blood test on day 21 but because my cycle is only 25 days blood test need to be day 18/19 will clomid changed the day i ovulate? as day 18/19 fall on a weekend.

I have just this minute popped my first clomid tablet of round two, so hopefully I'll be able to give you a little bit of advice!

We're also going through 'unexplained' infertility, so were given 50mg of clomid to take days 2-6 to strengthen ovulation a little and try and push that good egg to where it needs to be!

I've read that most woman will ovulate between 5-9 days after taking the last clomid tablet, so for us that should be anywhere from cd11-16, BUT looking at my diary when I took my first round of clomid, i didn't get my +OPK until CD16 so probably ovulated around CD17/18 so it did actually push my ovulation back a little bit.

The annoying thing with Clomid is that everyone reacts differently to it, so it's hard to say what will happen with the first cycle, but if you're anything like me, you'll definitely feel it happening when that egg does pop!

Maybe call your doctor and explain the situation? Have you started taking the clomid yet? It could be that they change your days to 3-7 or 5-9 to make ovulation a little bit later?
