Starting rice cereal at 4 months?

My lb had baby porridge from 4 months an he loved it from the beginning, he loves it still now, I just give him a small amount.

we tried weekly with my daughter. My son was eating at four months, my daughter was 5 and a half months

I put rice cereal in his bottle sometimes, but haven't given it to him in about 2 weeks, as he sttn fine already. When I do I only put a tablespoon in his 6 oz bottle and it dissolves completely so there is no choking hazard. My pediatrician said to spoon feed him cereal but when I mixed it the first time it was just like spoon feeding him milk. He also hated it, made faces, spit it all out. So he wasn't ready for spoon feeding..probably won't start that again for another month.
