I really cant understand how you BF ladies can handle spending months-years getting up so often in the nighttime, when it really isnt necessary... Let alone 2 years. I dont mean any offence by that comment, I just dont understand it, my baby loves me and looks up at me with those sweet eyes when I feed her too. I take comfort in knowing it was my body that developed such a healthy and happy baby... and its the way I am looking after her now that is keeping her happy and healthy.
Then tell me what choice I have? I have tried everything to make my son sleep. I have feed him on demand, I have not feed him. I have co-slept, I have moved him to his crib, I have moved that crib from beside my bed and out to his room, I have tried different blankets, different routines, I have tried everything that every book has told me to do, and guess what he still doesn't sleep. It has nothing to do with BFing, or solids, he just doesn't sleep through the night, never has and I am beginning to wonder if he ever will.
i'm reminding myself the benefits of breastfeeding (atleast for the first 6 months) outweigh the traumas of sleep deprivation.....
Ryder - at 2 months my LO would sleep great too. He'd wake just to feed maybe twice a night but would otherwise be sound asleep form 9 until 8. I hope your good luck keeps up!![]()
Brennan was the same way at 2 months, it is as he has gotten older that it has become a problem.
