Well, I've been doing really well in the weight gain department, except in the past week and a half. Up till the middle of 3rd tri, I'd only gained a net of 6 pounds overall. But, in the past week and a half, I've put on 5 pounds! Is this a sign of a problem or totally normal?

The last thing I need is to gain 5 pounds every week or so until the end. That would put me up like 30 pounds, when all this time I thought I was gonna skate by...

well if you imagine your baby will probably be 6 pounds or more...then waters...placenta...i wouldnt worry too much!my mw brought along a bag of shopping that weighs the average pregancy weight, so it was like 2bags of flour for baby, one for placenta, a bottle of juice for waters, and some pasta or something for all of the cord n stuff...it was heavy, so you really shoud expect to gain a certain amount of weight.xx

yep! totally normal. once i got into 3rd tri i started gaining 2-4 lb a week without fail, and nothing will slow it down! i'm up 34lbs already with 4 weeks til due date. i figure your body will gain what it needs to gain, so be it hehe xx

Thanks...yeah, I'm trying to picture what 6-7 pounds of ground beef would be like if I was carrying that around in my belly...LOL :haha:

I'm worried about weight gain too but realise theres not much I can do about it, I feel sick when I'm hungry so am probably overeating but that must be what my body needs. I'm up 27/28lbs @ 32 wks - I can't see that I'm gona stay below the 35lbs max I set myself with still 8 or more weeks to go! I hope I lose alot of it at the birth and in the days/weeks that follow and then I can get to work on whatevers left! Try not to worry xx
