still awaiting period. worried

Hi. I stopped taking the mini pill 4 weeks ago and there is still no sigh of my period. I'm nearly 40 and have been on various contraceptive for 20 years so is this normal?

Dilly dally, I was on bc for 20 years and for me it did take a bit to get back on track. My first couple were 35-40 days and very light. I did start getting more regular and I really think it took me 6 months to get back on a confident schedule. I just started temping so I am not sure how long it took me to ovulate even though I did OPK. Others on this site were regular and ovulating in just a few months so I think I was on the long side. Thank you for the reassurance. It makes me feel better knowing its normal. Ive also started losing weight so I hope that helps too.
