5 days and still bleeding, not much different from when it started. I saw him last thursday and he didnt have much concern, did the scan and saw a little sac. My next appointment is thursday 5 days away. What should I do. Is there anything natural that I can take to decrease the bleeding???

How much is the blood flow hun?

I had blood for a handful of weeks very very scarey even with a successful scan.

not bad that I soak a pad, I don't even soak a panty liner. Maybe I just pee to much for it to add up?

I take it a fair amount of bleeding shows up on a pantyliner? I wore a panty line but blood only really showed for me on wipe (bathroom trip).

Has the blood changed at all from when you seen someone?

No it hasnt changed, and yes it is mostly on the wipes, only once has it been more.

How long did you bleed for? was it similar to mine?

A couple of weeks at least hun - it was awful with a past of an ectopic and losses they didn't see me til 7 weeks then 8 and bubs like you was fine. Couple of swobs and a looksie before scan and basically there was no explanation for bleeding - just one of those things I was told.

Bleeding for me was just shows of blood nothing heavy and changed in colour it would be pinky, watery red, brownish/yellowish. I seen this mainly on wipe & then being 'aware' made me check.

I hope you bleeding has stopped. I had bright red bleeding and the doctor told me that some people will spot in early pregnancy without really finding a cause. Just try to stay and bed and relax as much as possible till your next scan.

I was bleeding for 3 days this week. It sounds about like yours. My doctor wasn't concerned either. Good luck!

holl doll you and me are less than a week apart. Keep me updated on how your doing. hearing that some of you had bled makes me feel better but today is now 6 days of blood. No difference in the amount just a whole 6 days. I hope that it only lasts like a period which will/should end tomorrow. at 7 days. I heard about rasberry leaf tea? Im not a big tea person but has anyone tried this??

Raspberry drops yes .... I was taking this but BEFORE my pregnancy after losses. Had to stop the drops after a positive. If you have read up about raspberry & miscarriage thats is :hugs:

I have had two different drs. tell me to drink raspberry leaf tea. Before I got pregnant I was drinking one cup a day, but now I'm drinking two cups. My naturopath told me to drink as much as I could, so I was drinking 4-5 cups, but I started showing a slight allergy to it, so I'm back to two and feeling great.

BTW-I stopped bleeding after about 4 days.

Here's a link about the raspberry leaf.

Yay, I'm happy your bleeding stopped! Our bodies do strange things.

The reason I mentioned miscarriage is I think (without looking back) you mentioned a loss before :( & I was wondering if that is what you were thinking.

I took the drops so all I know is I was adviced (forget where now) to stop in the first tri & a lot of sites have warnings like this:

When pregnant take only on advice from your doctor and not before 28 weeks of pregnancy.

I was taking it through the month of trying!

Heres a topic on it anyway that got me taking it:

Sorry if I have it wrong what you had in mind :hugs:

I definitely agree! Don't start anything without talking to your dr. first. In my research about raspberry everything was about 50/50 whether it was good for you or not. I tend to lean towards a more natural approach towards medicine and have LOTS of feelings and experiences about "western" medicine, but that's for a different post.

I found these pills that are raspberry leaf supplement. You take two a day and that will get me out of drinking the tea.
So I should bring this up with my doctor first? I figured it couldnt hurt but some of you are saying that it can?

Hope your bleeding stops soon and that everything is a-ok.

I just read a great article about bleeding during pregnancy in this month's Pregnancy magazine. If you can, try to get your hands on that! If not, I'll be happy to put some big points from it. But from what I gathered, bleeding can be normal in the first few weeks of pregnancy and there are several reasons. Unless it is very red and also accompanied by red, it should be fine.
