Just took a pregnancy test 2 hours ago and it came back a very strong positive. I was on a yeast infection and uti medication 3 days ago. Could that have any effect on the test or is it true?

its very rare but is possible for some medications to cause positive or negative pregnancy tests i would say that your most likely are pregnant i would check with your doctor. and if you are pregnant congratulations my names bethany im 15 and due june 18th with a baby girl home to see you back on BnB if your really pregnant:)

I wouldn't have thought so, don't quote me but I don't think those things contain the hormones produced in pregnancy!

I would say that is a positive test, but go to the doctors to get bloods if you're not sure for re-assurance! Congratulations!

I would definitely say you're pregnant... I've read the leaflets you get in pregnancy tests back to front before and under the 'what may show a false positive' section there's never been anything about that sort of medication. Congratulations! xx

I don't think those would give false positive. So, congratulations. :)

now that is a positive..a true blue positive,....no guessing for that

good luck

no those meds wont hurt baby or affect a test

I guess I should finally start to accept it, 4 tests later. Thanks everyone for your answers.

actually its the one tests that nearly always does but not THAT dark...

I meant the medicines, not the test.

i was saying that the tests gives fasle positives ( evaps)but not that dark..

i do not know what ur referring too..(shrug)

The medicines she was taking, would not interfere with a test. My assumption. Other people have said things about the medicines as well, so idk why you chose to comment on mine. But oh wellllllllll.

You quoted my saying I didn't think they would give false positives, I was refering to the medicines not the tests. You were talking about the tests, which I understand. Think it was all just a misunderstanding. And I'm not being mean, I'm just annoyed because I feel like for whatever reason you always have to start with me. idk what exactly I did to you?
