Still no period?

I haven't had a real period at all since lo was born. I bled for 4 weeks pp after he was born. After that I spotted twice and a few weeks ago I had a decent bleed(enough for a pad but not strong) that only lasted a day... Otherwise nothing!

I part-time breastfed since lo was approx. 2 weeks and have now completely stopped breastfeeding since 2 weeks ago.

Lo is currently 3 months and a half, or 15 weeks. I am currently on the minipill which from what I researched doesn't affect menstrual cycles so it's not that. And I don't think I'm pregnant as I tested negative with a frer.

Any ideas?

The mini pill can affect menstrual cycles a lot. It depends which one you are on. Ive been on a few and all made my bleeds lighter, and Cerazette took them away completely.

I'm now on a Mirena coil that uses the same hormones as the mini pill and again I have no periods.

That sounds very normal. I BF for almost 3 months (but combi fed from 1 month) but I still didn't get a natural period. I went back on the combination pill around 5-6 months which obviously forces a "period" but it's not a real period. Often your body just takes time to get back to normal after birth and of course, exhaustion in the first few months can play a part in it as well.

Thanks ladies! That's good to know! Everything else I would find says it shouldn't affect my period so of course it made me worry.
