This not eating much has been going on for almost a week... she is only managing approximately 20oz in a 24 hour time period and was previously eating 35oz!!!

She cant eat anymore then 2 oz at a time :( This is really frustrating and now she hasn't pooed in a couple days.

2 doctors refused to give me a prescription for a reflux med because she weighs enough and didnt appear dehydrated. She still weighs a good amount, but doesn't have many wet diapers per day :(

Its really frustrating that they wont listen, she is puking all the time and screams after she eats.

I will probably go into the health unit here, I hope they do something because this is ridiculous.

Hope you get it sorted jacob got diagnosied with reflux early on he is on gaviscon but it does F All! He is still sick after every bottle and if he lays flat for longer than a couple of mins is sick EVERYWHERE. XxxX

I know it's early, but could she be teething? Since Caitlyn started teething she will not have a bottle in her mouth more than a second, so I went back to 100% BF. I was going to suggest a cup but she is still so little. Does it seem to be a problem with what she's drinking or the fact somethings in her mouth?

I dont know, I did consider that because sometimes she was chewing on the nipple... But everyone keeps saying she is too young... Which I know is not true, she could potentially be having teething pains and no teeth for months... So... I dunno

Shes constantly chewing her hands and drooling too.

Luckily she has eaten a wee bit more today so far... So I will see how it goes.

Ema, here we have something else that can be prescribed which works very well for reflux babies. We have gaviscon too but I dont know if its the same thing.

I dont have any answers but i hope things get better soon hun x

We do here, its renitedeen *sp* but it gave jacob a horrible stomach so had to go back to gaviscon just to take the ease off it :) THey said it should ease soon but ill believe it when i see it :) Hope you get something soon XxX

yup, that is what we have here... She ate more today but threw up more :( poor thing.

I find lil and often helps thats what all the doc;s i spoke to said, i know its fustrating but jacob has lil feeds every hour or so in the day and then about 3-5hours at night. It does help as if there stomachs are to full this contributes to the reflux :) XxX

I tried that, but she just gets too hungry and cranky :( And luckily she is only waking once in the night still... I'll see though, the new formula might help and maybe she is still cranky from her shots...

Ema, I agree Gaviscon isn't the best sometimes. Ollie is better on it but we still have bad sick episodes just not after every feed now.

Ryder, it does sound like reflux to me so you must be so frustrated. Ollie still gained weight despite having reflux x

Do you have any links with the UK Gaviscon ingredients?

Is she any better?? Theres nothing worse for a mum than when her babys unwell. You may have to persevere, and keep going back to the docs, because i know in the UK at least, they take ages to prescribe for reflux. You are her mum, and mums know best. hugs xxxx

The vomitting does seem to be subsiding, now she is just burping up a little formula, before it was projectile.... but she is still upset, I think it may be from the shots though cause I gave her some more tylenol and it did help a bit... Poor baby, so much in one week!

are you still giving her rice hun? could she b getting full up on that xx

no, I stopped the rice while I was changing formulas... But she started the vomiting before I started the rice anyways... It was definately the formula, she was drinking 40oz a day when it started.
