I'm 17 weeks on Sunday and still not feeling any movement at all.. it's really worrying. This is my 3rd pregnancy (seconds ended in mc) with my first pregnancy with my daughter I felt movement from 16 weeks, I always thought you felt subsequent pregnancies earlier. Just wondering when every one else felt movement.

Aww hun don't be too worried this is my fourth pregnancy (twin MC, Ds, and then another MC last September) and I too was told about feeling movement earlier and earlier with subsequent pregnancies. I am only now feeling flutters with this lo and with my son I felt distinct movement at 15 weeks. If you are really concerned give your doc a call and ask. Who knows maybe you have an anterior placenta that is blocking/absorbing the feelings of kicks from you. There could be many reasons. Your bun might just be a little more lazy. For fun try drinking a large glass of very cold orange juice and lay down on your left side for an hour. That gets my little babe going crazy!!

I have not really felt much movement yet. I haven't felt the flutters that everyone talks about. This is my first but I figured by now I would be feeling more.

When I went for my 20 week scan (at 19 1/2 weeks) they told me I have an anterior placenta. That made me feel a lot better as it explains why I don't feel much yet. The scan gave me a lot of reassurance. Seeing the baby moving around and the strong heartbeat made me feel like there really is something in there even though I don't feel it yet.

I just can't wait for the day that I start to feel regular movements.

I'm the same way! I felt kicks at 14 weeks and they were strong enough for DH to feel on the outside by 15 weeks! But here I am at 17 weeks and still haven't even felt a single flutter. :nope: I'm getting impatient!!

my first didnt feel movements till into 20 odd weeks second 17weeks an this one swear selt flutters 8weeks and got stronger 12weeks. I no with son my placenta i was told may have been y i didnt feel him before 20week scan as he was kickin it so it absorbed kick. If your really tht stressed over it hun id gie mws a call an explain an see wht then say.

I felt my son kick at 17 weeks but didn't feel this one kick until 19 weeks.
I then got told I've got an anterior placenta which is why I didn't feel them so soon, apparently it cushions the kicks :)

Thank you ladies, I have a private gender scan on Sunday, praying everything is ok and hopefully they'll tell me my placenta is anterior xx

Don't worry hellymay. I felt flutters with my first at 14 weeks and other movement from 16 weeks. This is #2 and I'm 19 weeks and still hardly anything at all and even then it could be gas lol. I had an u/s two days ago and everything is perfect. Oh and my placenta isn't even at the front either.

Felt kicks at 19 weeks with my first and 16 weeks for this one.

I think everyone gets their head wrapped around the idea that they 'say' you'll feel movements sooner with your other pregnancies but I think the fact of the matter is, every baby is different and will do its own thing in there :)

I know the feeling of really wanting to feel little one, but when it happens, it'll be the best and the wait will be worth it :)

Same here, haven't felt anything yet! Didn't feel anything until around 20 weeks with my daughter but was expecting it to be much sooner this time.

I have an anterior placenta too, as i did in my last pregnancy also.

This is my first and I am growing impatient also! I thought maybe I felt a flutter yesterday but then again that may have been gas lol. We had our early gender scan last Tuesday and I asked the ultrasound tech when she thought I should be able to feel her and she said she is sitting really low so it may still be a few weeks. She guessed between 18 and 20 weeks before I start to feel any movement!

If there's one thing I've learnt about pregnancy, it's that there aren't really any 'rules' that you can go by. Every pregnancy is different. I think if you try to follow what is said on forums or other pregnancy information, you're going to start to worry. As long as everything is ok at your scans, I'd just take that as a great sign and not worry about the 'average this' or 'average that'. We are all completely different so I think it's a bit silly to go by averages. Hope everything went well at your scan :)

Thank you ladies, I had a private scan on Sunday and found out we are team pink, she was rolling and kicking away but I couldn't feel any of it, the sonographer pointed out that my placenta is anterior and she is snuggling into it like a pillow and punching away at it like a punch bag, so the placenta is taking the brunt of it. I have felt some weird sensations almost in my back. He also said that this is more than likely baby kicking away. X

I've got an anterior placenta, and its slightly to my left. Im 32 weeks now and still feel absolutely nothing on the left hand side, I SEE it move if I watch carefully, but don't feel a thing, its really weird only feeling kicks on the right hand side!!

My first 24w full movement. Second 16w with anteroir placenta aswell.
Third i still havent felt full movement im 26w with posterior placenta.

I wouldn't worry. My doctor told me some women don't feel movement until 20 weeks. It probably depends on the pregnancy. Good luck at your scan!

Doctor never mentioned anterior placenta to me so not sure where mine lies but I literally felt the 1st kicks 3 weeks ago very very slightly. Now 3 weeks later it's a whole different story and can see and feel all the kicks and punches very well now.
Amazing what diff 3 weeks has made!!
Soon we will all be wishing the severe and painful kicks would go back to being tiny little flutters heehee
