So it's going on month five of ttc for our first but with no luck. Though this is my first month charting my cycle in order to catch my lucky days. I gotta say it's maddening. AF is supposed to rear her ugly head in less than a week and here I am trying to over analyse every tingle in my body. Anyone else feel like they're ready to tear their hair out?

I'm right there with you. I'm on month 6 of TTC, but this is my first month charting. I should have started charting way earlier but silly, naive me thought getting pregnant would be fast and easy! I haven't noticed any symptoms this cycle, but I have for sure in the past. I've never had heartburn and about 4 years ago I was convinced I was pregnant because I had heartburn. That was the one and only time I've ever had it too which is weird.

I thought it would be easy too. I mean, everyone around me was just BAM pregnant so why couldn't I?

But that isn't the case

Infuriating enough is I always seem to have some sort of symptoms...but usually it's because I have a cold or the flu. :/

My mother said she had bad heartburn with me but she also has acid reflux. Wives tales would say if you had heartburn that it meant your baby would be born with a full head of hair.

I'd be happy if they were bald if it meant finally expanding my little family.

Agreed!!! Who would have thought it would be so complicated!?!? Makes me wish I would have stopped bc the day I got married!! Lol I got off bc in October, but last month was my first time using opks and this cycle is my first to chart/temp. It's a lot, but if it will help I'm all for it!!
Baby dust!!!

I hear you, we are on cycle three… I've chucked away the idea of OPKs, temping and keeping an eye on ovulation day (this one I can't help but think about) with the idea that it would take the stress away somewhat, and it has… I do still log CM etc. into FF and my Ovia app but I need to do that or I forget from one month to the next! I am trying not to think too much about "symptoms" as I fool myself each and every time (not just the past two months!). It feels like forever. I am so hopeful though this month, I'm always positive around this time of my cycle but it seems like I am extra positive this time! I have unusual cycles that vary in length so not sure when to expect AF… will see if I can avoid POAS too! Good luck ladies, it will happen. I know it is frustrating, I have two friends (at the moment!) who got pregnant first go… and some others for whom it took a lot, lot longer. TTC is a scary process as you really have no idea if your body is even capable! Well, that's the way I feel when I see AF roll around…! x

Hi y'all! You ladies are not alone. Just this past month I was really stir crazy because I wasn't feeling like I normally do before AF. I also had the added pressure of if I didn't get my BFP starting infertility tests. My doctor recommended it because DH and I have been having unprotected sex for over a year and she finds its odd that we didn't even have an oops even though we weren't officially trying.
Well, AF showed up so testing has begun. I had labs done on CD 1. I go for an HSG on Tuesday which I am scared as hell for and then I have more labs done on CD 21. DH is also having a sperm analysis done. DH has two children from a previous marriage so I doubt it's him. I'm so overwhelmed and worried about this. I'm praying there is nothing wrong with us and that our timing has just been off.
I've been charting CM for 6months now and just started using OPK last month. I had a positive opk last month and we BD'd every other day before and after.
I'm just driving myself crazy with all the what ifs. I apologize for my rambling.
:dust:

Babyprayers, since you just started using opks you may have just been missing ovulation. When I started using them I realized I was ovulating much later than I thought due to my long cycle. I had all of those tests run just as precaution bc I want to be proactive. Mine all came back normal, but my dr. Said it still might take a while. It's hard, but I'm trying to stay positive and not stress!! Hope all of
Your results come back normal!! Prayers and baby dust! Keep us updated!

I just started my own tracking using Ovia in hopes to catch my week but I'm not sure on how accurate.

I know a check up would be beneficial to make sure the plumbing is in tact...but I'm terrified. SO and I haven't really told anyone other than my sister that we were trying...
But I'm afraid that I'll be told that I can't have children.

That I've inherited my mother's endometriosis.

AF is two days away and I can already tell she's here for the dreaded visit.
I was so sure but with my cervix so firm and low... blah

:(

I hope all of your tests come back great and soon you'll be blessed with a little lurker growing. It sometimes takes more time than most. It took my mother over a year and my best friends mother didn't conceive until ten years after she had started trying.

Waiting sucks. XP

Thank you for your encouraging words. I Know I can't be the only one to have ever gone through this but It's hard when you're actually living it.

I was so sure that I nailed our timing this past month. We BD'd 2 days before I got a POS OPK, the day I got the POS and two days after that. My cycle is typically 33-34 days long. I also use the Ovia app to track CM.

My mom seems to think that my doctor is just being proactive because we haven't been really trying for long. I'm worried because my sister had a hard time conceiving. Again, my mom isnt because I had many of the same initial tests done before even starting TTC and all my stuff came back normal.

Again, Thank you for your encouraging words. I'll def keep you updated.

Of course! And I feel the same as you, I felt like everything was timed perfectly, bd 2 days before and on both of my peak days...it's difficult to understand why I'm not pregnant!!! my last cycle was 35 days, which was closer than the 40 day cycle I had before, but now I'm worried that my luteal phase is too short (it was 10 days last cycle) I want to try the vitamin route before taking clomid though. I have my yearly exam in April so I will ask what she recommends.
I also use ovia and FF for charting, they seem like the most accurate.
Proxy, don't get too discouraged, and definitely go to your doctor, it is much better to know what's going on, most likely it's a hormone issue that can be easily fixed!!! Sending you positive thoughts!! And lots of:dust::dust:

Good Morning!

Well I had my HSG done this morning. Having a catheter inserted into your uterus is NOT fun at all. I nearly jumped off the table. Once it was in there was just bad AF like cramps. The nurses and my husband were amazing in keeping me calm and helping me work through the initial pain.

So, I received good news. Both of my tubes are open and the dye spilled right out without any issues so that made me feel good. My uterus looks good but she wants to get a better look at the pictures just to be 100% sure. DH got a kick out of seeing everything.

Now I have to go through one more round of labs and wait for DH semen analysis. I'm just saying my prayers. I'm going to be over the moon ecstatic when we get pregnant after all of this. It seems like everyone around me in preggers.

How are things with yall?

:dust: :dust:

That's great! Sounds like everything went really well!! I'm sorry I can't remember, but did you ask for the HSG? Or did you dr. Recconend it? Just wondering if I should request it just to be sure everything is working properly! I had blood work and ultra sound but no HSG..
It is a relief once you know everything is working, but does not make wAiting any easier! FX it will happen soon for all of us!!! CD8, what about y'all?

BBYfever : Things did go well. I'm still spotting from the test but its normal. My doctor recommended that I have it done because DH and I have been having unprotected sex for over a year. If you've been trying for a while maybe ask your doctor what he/she thinks. Doesn't hurt to ask or to be proactive.

I'm on CD 9. Gearing up for the fertile window now. DH goes for a semen analysis on Wednesday so we have to work things around that test. I'm sure he is fine being that he has two kids from a previous marriage but we are trying to cover all our bases.

Wishing everyone luck. lets pray for our :BFP:

Just dropping by to see how everyone is doing? I'm on CD14. We are back at it for another month. DH goes tomorrow for his SA. This is month 7 for us and as usual I'm in great spirits and very hopeful. This is how I always start out and then as the tww progresses I get anxious and angry. Luckily I've decided to throw my DH a surprise birthday party next month so I'll have that to keep me busy. It would just be so great for a :bfp: could be one of his gifts.

Thank you for the well wishes. I received both some good news and bad news this morning. DH's SA came back perfect....good news. My first round of blood work came back with something elevated ....cant remember the name of it but it makes getting preggers harder and its out of my control. So I'm being referred to a reproductive specialist. My doc seems to think that some meds may do the trick but feels we have waited long enough and should hear our options.
DH is not a fan of insemination so I'm praying just taking meds will do the trick cuz Idk if ill be able to convince him if we need too. So nerve wracking.
Im on CD 16 and so far I've had 2 negative opks. Last month I had my positive opk on CD 20 so for now we are just going with every other day. Gonna pick up some preseed and try that. Just figure it cant hurt.
I'm so sad and frustrated.
How is everyone else?

Prayers and baby :dust: to all

I'm so sorry about your test result! But
Like your DH said, some meds might just level everything out and you will get your Bfp!! Did the elevated test have to do with your thyroid? My
Dr. Saiid my FSH levels were slightly elevated, but she wants to test them again and just monitor. I hope yours is an easy fix!!
My Dh does not want do an IuI either, but if it comes to that,
They will suck it up, right?!?! Lol
I feel you on the frusteratuon! I hate waiting to O!!! I am in cd 18 and no positives yet :(
Try to stay positive, hope we O soon!!!
Baby dust!!!

I can't remember for the life me what the doc said was elevated. I go tomorrow for my CD 21 tests. I hope its just a simple fix. It gives me some comfort to know that my DH isn't the only one that feels the same way mine does. I hope we can convince out DH's should it come down to that.

I am currently CD 20 and still negative OPK. I'm a bit worried because I had a positive on CD 20 last month. There is a second line but its faint. Idk. I do drink a lot of water. Is it normal to have a surge on different days? Maybe Ill get my positive opk tomorrow.

We tried preseed last night to see if that will help in case Im to acidic or whatever. This may be a bit TMI but DH said he didn't notice anything different. I'm assuming its because Im not typically dry however things did happen a bit quicker than usual if yah catch my drift. lol I'm just at the point where I'm willing to try anything. It would be a miracle to get a :bfp: before meeting with the reproductive specialist.

How are you doing? Did you O yet?

Prayers and Baby :dust:

It is definitely possible to O at different times. Last cycle u got my first positive opk on CD25, this cycle I got it CD19....I was so excited to see that positive, but now I'm on CD 21 and still have not had the temp rise. This is my first cycle to temp, but I've been really good at taking at the same time, only thing is the last couple if nights I have been pretty restless, so not sure if that could be effecting it. Hopefully I will get a rise tomorrow morning! And hopefully you will get a positive opk!!!
I like the preseed, but I don't use the full "dosage" and only use it as lube, instead of injecting it. Maybe ask about vitamins you could take to help, that's what a plan to do when I go on the 17th!!
Hope everything goes well at the Dr!!!
Fx that you get your +opk!!!:dust::dust:

Ugh I am going absolute batty today. I had my CD 21 test done today. I'm not so sure that the results are going to be good being that I haven't O'd yet and I have a 33 day cycle so it seems a bit early. Guess I'll wait an see.

Took an OPK at like 11:00 and there was a second line almost as dark as the first but not quite. I just tested again and there was no second line at all. I just don't know what to think. Idk if I drank too much water or what.

I'm praying that if I did already O that we caught it. We have been :sex:quite a bit over the past week and a half. I plan on continuing til AF shows up. I don't use the full amount of preseed either. Way too much. Im just using it in case and to help things along.

I haven't tried temping but if I don't get my :bfp: I'm going to start.
