stitches or staples?

i had prolene beads with both my c-sections. my scar is hardly noticeable

I had staples with my daughter. I have previously had both stitches and staples in other surgeries so it didnt matter to me either way. I loved that he used staples there though. Never got caught on my clothing anything. Had my daughter on a Sunday night, Weds late morning doc came took them out put a couple of strips that he took off at my app on Fri... easy simple done lol he was awesome

I had dissolvable stitches and didn't have any problems at all. My scar healed up brilliantly - in fact when the doctor came to check up on me the next day she had to check i was the right person as the scar was hardly visible

Prolene beads? I've never heard of it. is it sutures? Or a kind of glue?

it's like a continuous stitch along the opening and closed at both ends with a bead and metal square. when they're ready to take the 'stitch' out they cut the bead and little metal square thing off and just pull it out. it tickles but my scars are very neat and never once had problems with inflammation or infection
