So i've decided to do stockings for all my family instead of just one single present this year.

Does anybody have any good stocking filler ideas for Adults?

I have up to yet: (Take in mind some of these are for women and some for men - womens are in pink!)

Lip Balms, T-shirts, Candles, glass vases, giant lighter, ferrere roches, bodycreams etc

Aftershave, tshirts, puzzles, alchohol, ashtrays, giant lighters, silly dress up stuff (mustaches etc), shotglasses, yo-yos, washbag, boxers, chocolates etc

So does anybody have any other ideas? Need to get the lists going and start buying - on a budget this year. Bear in mind i have 3 brothers (age 16-22), My Dad and My OH and then my Mum.
Please give me some more ideas and hopefully you can all get ideas from this thread too!! :D

favourie sweeties, socks, slippers, photos of lo/scan in a frame, you could do themed stocking, i.e hair care stocking, or relate all of the items to theor fav.colour or fav. football team....

hi,

up until i got married my OH had never had a stocking (dont ask!). anyway in his over the past few years i have put -

mini deodrants (lynx etc)*, mini shower gels*, hair combs, pens, diary, condoms, blank cds/dvds, stuff linked to footie team (air freshner, sweets etc), wallet, cufflinks, novelty item (design a beaver, boob flannel, working man doodle pad), mini alcohol, nivea after shave balm*, socks, belt, books, dvds, car bits, laptop bits

*= asda/boots travel size OR wrote to nivea asking for samples for men. PLUS i get loads from £1 shops and off ebay

in mine OH has put various -

belt, purse, make-up, teddy bear, belly bars (for piercing), socks, deodrants, mini alcohol, body lotions, bubble baths, x-stitch kits, books, dvds, hair bobbles n clips, sweets, chocolate

hope this helps. x

do things they need, they might find some of it slightly boring, but bet you'll catch them using them a whole heap of times!

and fun jokes presents..
like the exploding lighters - where you push it down and it squirts water a the person, or the slight electric shock pens..
they're always a good giggle.. especially over christmas day!!
maybe mini travel games if you can find some not too expensive ones, i think whsmiths do quite good ones..

Unisex:
socks, books, dvds, slippers, pj's, jewllery, pocket mirror, scarfs, gloves, umbrellas, (remember boys can look after themselves too, you just have to find out how they do - maybe packs of gel)

womens:
tweezers, nail files, mini shampoo, nail varnishes, nail varnish removers, creams, make up bits

HTH - great idea!
xxxx

Few more for women.. mini bottles of wine, perfume

Unisex - gift cards (you can get £5 ones to use in places.. i.e Starbucks, Lakeland, Pizza express, Homebase, Laura Ashley, Habitat, Pizza Hut, Cinema.. there is a list of lots here https://www.clintoncards.co.uk/gifts/giftcards/)
Personalised CD with their favourite songs

go on martin lewis theres a freebie section - not sure if anything that can be used on there at moment but sometimes they do have good bits.

This is actually a really good idea, I might have to steal it! Does it work out cheaper to get everyone a stocking and fill it than spend on a few big preasents and smaller ones to go with them? I have about 10 people to buy for.. (not including Ava, she gets stocking AND big gifts :D)

it can work out cheaper IF you shop around, do the buy 1 get 1 frees, 3 for price of 2 etc - great if you have multiples of same sex to buy for. PLUS instead of spending £10-15 per person for example on 1 gift that may never be used, nearly everyone uses a diary/bubble bathy/socks etc.

I have put together hamper before and found retro sweets go down very well esp. if you can find unusual ones, I also managed to get some gift sets a few years ago from £1land and made a big hamper from just 2 of these and it looks really impressive.

Look at who you need to buy for and try and take advantage of offers and split them between people.

For silly bits places like hawkins bazaar is a good place to look.

I think im gonna so do this, I can definately shop around and get bargains and yep mostly the people i need to buy for are female so deals can be split. I might even make everyone a fabric stocking! eee im excited!

Hiyaaa - yeah sometimes it definitely works out cheaper than buying a big present and i think people much prefer having loads of little pressies to open rather than just the 1 that they might not even like if you know what i mean hehe.

my sister said she hasnt had a stocking since she left home in 1994....... so guess what she getting this year....YEP a stocking!

a good site(s) is gifts for girls/presents for men - assortment of gifts from useful to silly, cheap to expensive.

ahh well i've not started on OH's but found some bits and bobs for my mums!

Found this gorgeous bath gift set for about 8 pounds and it looks really expensive! then she's always needing nail files so found some pretty nail files.

then just some joke stuff for my little brother.

Hows everyone elses going?
x

In my family, we give toothbrushes as stocking stuffers every year because you have to change brushes every so often. Its a tradition I love.
