Stokke stroller

This time I want a proper stroller and I'm starting the searcfh early. It has to be trendy, practical and possible for me to lift. So I discovered Stokke. It is trendy and I can lift it but is it practical?
So everybody who knows something about it, talk. I don't want to do a bad choice but in my home country this stroller isn't popular. That means I can't go to the mall to see it myself.

personally from what i have seen of them i dont like them..

i saw one in town the other day and it looked like the child was hanging out?!

If I had had the cash, I would have bought one. Stokke has a pretty fab design team. We have their Tripp Trapp high chair and love it!
We debated long and hard about the Explory, but the price got us in the end, and we passed. I have heard only good thiings in the reviews I read. I don't know anyone personally who has one, though.

A couple of people on here have sold theirs recently. I like the look of them but they dont have suspension so they are a harsh ride and not good off road.

I didnt know that. I really wanted one but that would make it useless for me with all the dog walking. Not that I can afford it anyway.

hi just seen this thread, in the end my ebay listing got ended before i could sell it so i kept it and glad i did cos shortly after, my DH started using the car to go to work so i walk to shop everywhere. I love it personally but it's definitely a walking buggy as it doesn't fold down compact. Unless of course you have a large boot in which case it's not a problem. It;s sturdy, comfortable for baby and i call it my land rover, hehe! Suspension isn't an issue and it's easy to push and turn. I even used it in the snow and ice and that wasn't a problem, just harder to push due to the resistance. I really would say that the only downsides are price and the fact that you need a big boot if you want it to go in the car. Although you can travel with it, it's better to have a travel buggy if you can cos as i've been saying, getting into boots can be an issue. Hope this helps

I have to say, it's a very stylish looking travel system - I used to get comments everywhere I went BUT after using it for a month or so with the car seat on, I realised how 'bumpy' the ride was for LO The Stokke has no suspension and once I put LO in the carrycot and pushchair, I decided I didn't like it for him.

I like to walk to the park with LO and the Stokke was awful for walking on rough ground so got fed up with it.

We bought this travel system when I was pregnant because my OH LOVED it and still does but he never uses it, I do. I wish when I was pregnant I hadn't tried to please him and get that.

I now have a pushchair with suspension, pneumatic tyres etc and much more comfy for baby.

All I'd say is, think about what you'll need the pushchair for! The Stokke fit in the boot of my car but I have a big car but if I'd had the pushchair seat unit or carrycot (which I never used on a car journey - just for walking), I think I would've struggled. Do you do a lot of walking or will it be just for shopping, town, that kind of thing?

I love the look of the Stokke - very different but I think they need to make a few adjustments to improve it if I'm honest. AND they're very expensive but then so are all the stylish travel systems

Actually I like walking, so the news about any suspension wasn't what I waited for. But okay, I guess then I have to keep looking, because I don't live in a big city and we have very bumpy roads.

I have the Quinny Buzz which has two big rubber tires and a third hard plastic double wheel out front. I've dragged that thing over frozen snow banks, through gravel roads, you name it. There are a few other strollers that have all three tires made of rubber, so you get a smoother ride that way.
The sport/jogging strollers are probably best for that, but you said you also wanted something trendy.
Hmm. Try quinny. You might see something you like?

The Bugaboo Cameleon is a very stylish travel system with suspension and pneumatic tyres.

As Sarah said, the Quinny Buzz is a good one too...it's what I have. Lots of girls on here have them who can give opinions.

I have the stokke - I really like it for in town as it is very manouverable and easy to take apart to some extent for public transport. However the suspension isn't good as others have said. Our road has a very bumpy pavement and I am always worried about the bumping - having said that, he seems to enjoy it!
If you do get it, get the carrycot option - I know the seat unit is supposed to be suitable from birth but he didn't look at all comfortable in it.
