Not sure if anyone can offer any advice over this but I successfully fed my boy until 9 months but with a return to work imminent, I decided to stop 6 weeks ago.

I returned to pre pregnancy weight within 12 weeks and more or less stayed there. However since stopping, I have put in a whopping 8 lbs!! I'm only 5' 3 and its rally noticeable...

I've really watched what I'm eating the past 2 weeks and kept cals under 1500 per day which previously, would have easily helped me drop about 3-4 lbs but nope, just weighed and I'm another lb up!!

I know people probably say this a lot but I am absolutely at a loss!! Wish I had never stopped and not really sure what I do now (I've started back at the gym but with the baby, can only realistically get there twice a week)

Has anyone experienced this before???

sorry no experience but could it just be water retention?

aw sorry to hear this, im dreading stopping because i can eat so much now and not gain, i know that wont work when i stop.....i gained a huge amount last time i stopped, but that resulted in my next baby, so i let myself off :)

This happened with my first. I lost rapidly and breastfed for 8 months, when I stopped I gained about 10 pounds! It was miserable. It took some time for me to loose that and a strict calorie watching diet. I'm not looking forward to when that happens with this one. :(
Good luck!!!

Well I haven't lost a single pound bfing!!! I'm gutted x

This happened to me!

With ds I bf for 6/7 months and lost all my baby weight in 3 weeks (intense cluster feeder!). I stayed the same weight until I stopped bf and suddenly put on a stone in the couple of months after stopping. I never managed to loose it - it was stuck on like glue :-(

Now i'm pregnant again at a higher weight - just hoping I can bf a ton of it off!!! And then be more careful when I stop!!
