Stopping bcp mid pack vs end of cycle

Hi ladies,
So DH and I will be starting our ttc journey this month. So exciting! I have been on bcp for 7+ years and am mid pack at the moment. The current plan is to finish the pack and then that will be my last one.

Of course now that we are this close the desire to just ditch the pills is strong. Has anyone quit mid pack and how did that effect you? Scared my cycles will be messed up even if I wait to finish the pack.

That can actually really screw up your cycle to stop mid pack. My doctor advised to finish out my pack before quitting them. I know it is so hard to wait though.

As hard as it may be, just finish the pack. Coming off the bcp will be different and hard enough on your body and it'll just make it worse coming off it mid pack.

I kind of figured that would be the answer but the baby fever likes to try to convince me otherwise. Thanks ladies I will wait.

Yes, I would finish the pack. Do not stop mid-pack! It can mess up your hormones and take longer for you to get back to normal!
