So my doctor was explaining when you take the progesterone/estrogen pill (like Yasmin, etc), the ovaries stop producing their own estrogen. She said this would likely help my endometriosis. But I want to conceive anyway, so doesn't matter.
But for future use... does your body start producing estrogen on its own again AFTER going off the pill? How long does it take? Is there a risk of your body getting confused and never producing estrogen again? I already have some androgen-y issues and I don't want to end up with more hair loss, more body hair, and other estrogen deficiency symptoms (especially cancer risks, infertility, etc!).
So how risky is it? I don't want to go on it and have to take it until I'm 50. Does it make menopause worse? And do you have more menopause/old age related facial hair and weight gain and whatnot from taking the pill?
