Sorry to hear you are having a hard time. I work in a supermarket too and my manager is being performanced managed due to a variety of reasons as well. I've taken on some of their stress on top of my cash admin role (extra hours, splitting jobs, speeding up training, night shifts) in order to help them get the shop a bit more balanced, but at least untill we stop being short staffed it feels like a losing battle.
I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well and you are treated with respect. My manager has two kids and speaking from 10 years experience has advised me repeatedly my most secure option iin the future is to either try and find a 9-5, or stay in my current part time role so when I come back to it after maternity leave I can help out the store extra on my terms and after my commitment as a mum, without being contracted to the store 45 hours a week as I would be as a team leader or deputy manager. I'm in two minds, but I hate the idea of progressing on only to have to sacrifice either my career or my family further down the line.
Sorry for venting, I've been alternating night shifts with earlys the last two weeks and works destroying my soul.
