Ladies has anyone had any success stories with strong and constant cramping after ET?

It started a day after ET and is not getting any better, even stronger. It feels like AF cramps i.e. when uterus contracts. I had a bit of spotting on 2dp2dt and the doc increased my progesterone. but the cramping just got worse. I am losing hope. I tested but so far it's bfns.

Hi Briss i didn't want to read and run.

I dont have a success story yet but wanted to tell you that you are not alone. Today is 7dp5dt and i've been cramping for days, first it was a dull ache then had a full day of bad cramps now they come and go it feels just like AF is coming. I've reads loads on Google and there are a lot of success stories from women with same symptoms. I am thinking as long as i am not bleeding this is a good sign, lets hope these pains are our babies are getting comfy.

I hope you feel better, congratulations on PUPO and good luck x

Pinkie, thanks very much for replying. I've also been googling and it seems like it can go either way. Let's hope for the best I guess we wont know for sure until the test.

When is your test date Briss? Mine is on Sunday 13th, it couldn't come quick enough.

Mine is Wednesday Oct 16th but I've been testing out the trigger and now just getting bfn, I will know before the test.

when I woke up I did not have any cramping and I thought it stopped but then it stared again on the way to work. For 4 days after ET I was at home doing nothing mostly on my sofa afraid to move but cramping was still there

I haven't tested yet, been too scared.

That is exactly what keeps happening to me. I go to bed with cramps, wake up thinking great its gone then after an hour they are back.

Pinkie3, my cramping is still there but I think it's not as strong as yesterday, I am so hoping it's a good sign.

Are you just going to wait for Sunday's test? Praying for our BFPs

I started cramping tonight and I'm only 1dp5dt - have read that it's a good sign so let's stay positive girls! My friend who had IVF got some cramping a few days after her 5dt and she got her BFP, so maybe that could be us too?

Goldfish, did you have cramping with your first IVF?

It seems like this cramping is really common, i so hope so. I've been cramping again today but not as bad i find it hurts more when i am sitting down, very strange. Plus these pains are different to my usual period pains, they are driving me crazy.

I am being very strong and not testing til Sunday.

Goldfish - join the cramping club lol congratulations on PUPO

x

Briss last IVF I had a little cramping, but it just felt like AF was about to come. This one feels stronger or different? And now I have a headache, which is quite unusual for me. I hope I'm not imagining these symptoms!

Pinkie haha thanks, I like that - the cramping club! We seem to have a few TTC things in common!

Pinkie, I think if it's not AF type of cramps it's very promising! fingers crossed. I love it - the cramping club!! LOL

Goldfish, thanks, mine feels like AF cramps but they are not as prominent last couple of days. I am also terribly bloated, like I am seriously pregnant. From what I can see it seems like it's a side effect of the hormones that we have been taking in an IVF cycle but I am still slightly worried.

Good luck girls i'll be watching this post and seeing the outcome.

Do any of you guys have children?

I knows in my book thing I have to take to the hospital it says to expect cramping but it doesn't mean anything. It also says if you have had children in the past you might find you have exactly the same symptoms but it doesn't mean your pregnant its just the hormone support we're on. Probably what you want to hear but if its in my medical book it must be true.

Good luck to you all.

MishC, thanks. I am curious what's your medical book?

I had BFP in my youth and I recall it felt like AF was coming and I had creamy CM but no spotting and no cramping. although I know IVF cycles are very different to natural BFPs in a way that some ladies had proper bleeding for 1-2 days and still had successful pregnancies. I am trying (but miserably failing) not to read too much into my symptoms but I feel like the less symptoms you have the better chances are you are pregnant.

Sorry it's not a medical book per say its just the book they give you to take to the hospital with you for all you appointments. It tells you what to expect, cramps, head aches, pregnancy signs etc but it could all be false because of the hormones we're on.

It clearly states that if you've had a baby in the past you might experience all the same symptoms of early pregnancy but to try and ignore it but still be positive.

I'm not due for egg collection until 28th Oct so I have a long wait ahead of me but i'm very interested in what everyone else is going through now.

How many eggs gave you had transferred?

MishC, that's so interesting! what do they list as main pregnancy signs?

I am doing natural/modified IVF so I only had one egg from the naturally selected dominant follicle. Luckily it fertilised via ICSI (my Dh has very poor sperm) and they transferred it on day 2. it's typical for natural IVF not to wait for it to become a blastocyst as you only have one embryo, they believe it has better chances to survive and grow in its natural environment rather than in a lab. My wonderful embryo and I were re-united last Friday. I am due for testing next Wednesday but I've been testing all alone anyway, bfns so far but I keep hoping.

cramping got me really worried a couple of days ago as it was just too early for implantation. yesterday and today it was very mild. no idea whether that's good

No i dont have any children so no idea what signs i am looking for. Its also difficult because of the progestrone it gives you all these false signals.

I've been cramping for 5 days now something doesn't feel right about my body but that could be a good thing. Until i do that test i am never going to know.

Mish, end of Oct will be here before you know it. I found all the med weeks went really quickly but this two week wait is torture! Good luck i hope its going well so far.

Briss/goldfish how are you feeling today?

Pinkie, I totally agree this TWW is a torture. I am trying to stay positive but negative thoughts are always at the back of my mind. I cant distract myself with anything. cant concentrate on work. Today my cramping is much better, almost none. again no idea whether this is good news.

MishC hello! I don't have any kids and I've never had a BFP, so every sign gets me excited! I know it might just be because of the meds we're taking though.

Briss I was actually kinda glad to be having cramps last night, I've never felt like that before so it's giving me some hope! are you going to keep testing between now and your OTD?

Pinkie oh no you poor thing, 5 days of cramps?! I felt awful last night, but cramping has been pretty mild today so it's not too bad. are you testing soon?

Thanks girls, Something is going on with my body just hope its a good thing? If it was cramps due to AF arriving im thinking after 6 days it should be here by now. Yes test date soon, on Sunday i am trying to convince the OH its a good idea to do it sat so we have a weekend of celebrating or drowning our sorrows before going back to work!
