Hi all,
I'm 15 weeks and still struggling to eat. I feel sick when I get hungry but then feel sick when I eat. Everything turns my stomach and even my 'safe' foods seem off limits now. I've got breakfast and dinner down ok but struggle other than that.
Can anyone please tell is this normal? Am I just unlucky? Should I be worried? I didn't feel like this with my first (I'm not complaining, feel blessed to be pregnant - just concerned and running on empty)
Did this happen to anyone else? (And what gender is your baby please?! :winkwink: )
Thanks in advance x

Totally normal! With my first I wasn't anywhere near as bad, but with this 2nd pregnancy I had horrible morning sickness and didn't eat much at all. (I'm expecting a girl this time, boy first time)

I think my appetite finally returned around 18 weeks.

Are you okay with drinking fluids? If you can handle it, maybe try some protein shakes or something. During my 1st Tri, about all I could handle was cereal and milk. But I've heard higher protein helps with the MS.

Thanks! I had a boy first time too and am thinking this is maybe a girl. Perhaps thats why I'm always asking hubby for sausage rolls and hotdogs if protein helps with ms! I'm ok with water thanks. Just been worrying myself I think, but guess that's all part of being a mummy!

I just meant if you could handle drinking fluids, then a protein shake might help add a few calories and some protein. :winkwink:

And I wouldn't be concerned about when you eat. My usual day is that I eat the bulk of my calories between the time I get up and 3 p.m. After that, I might eat a snack or a bowl of cereal/some fruit or something before bed... but in the late afternoon and evening, I'm just not hungry.

Well for me pretty normal been sick this whole pregnancy basically and with my first born I was sick until month 7. Almost 20 weeks and I'm sick almost constantly some days I barely eat. Feel better soon and eat what you can when you can.

I felt terrible up until about 11 weeks, could just eat and not be sick then it went but came back at week 14 and now I can hardly drink or eat and keep being sick, I've already ended up in hospital once to be rehydrated, and am starting my 3rd week signed off work as I can't now function normally.... Xxxxx
