but, can pregnant people still go to a general practitioner?
or, a regular doctor i mean? (idk if i'm making sense right now) :haha:
my mom is an OBGYN, and my dad is a pediatrician, so i've never really gone to any other doctors, other than specialists.
i feel like i'm just rambling.
basically i'm just wondering if pregnant people still go to their regular doctors, because i'm wondering about this sinus infection (if thats what it is)

yeah i think you can for normal things, but if it is pregnancy related it is probably best to go to a midwife.. :P

I'm pretty sure Ob's can't prescribe you medicine so if you do have a sinus infection, you need to go to a gp.

You can go to a regular doctor as long as they know your pregnant.

They can, any licensed doctor can.

Generally one should go to their midwife/OB first and find out if they suggest you go see a GP for a medical issue, or if the MW/OB can diagnosis it.

OBGYNS can prescribe you any medicine, but they usually won't unless its related to whatever you go there for. So you would go to your GP for anything non-pregnancy related.

another reason i ask is because my actual OB is an hour and a half drive away, so i just gonna see what my parents thought first, i just wondered what other people did.

One time I was at the OBGYN and thought I had a sinus infection but the nurse wouldn't even check it out for me, they said they dont write out any prescriptions like that. It might vary doctor to doctor though, my office is incredibly busy, which is probably why they wont do it.
