So I woke up yesterday to a stye on each eye! They are the most painful and annoying looking things ever! Ugh. I only really get them when I am pregnant for some reason and I was wondering if maybe someone here might struggle with them too. Even though I understand it is odd. I have been putting heat on them on and off throughout the day but they are still big and red...sigh. I am hoping my doctor can give me some ideas next appointment although I have considered calling and seeing if he has any ideas today. I have to go out today and I hate the looks people give me like I am strange because of them! Ohhh well...

Hi there!

Have you tired the 'eye gel pads' that you can put in the freezer and then when it's to your liking put the mask on for 10 mins or so? I find this soothes my tired eyes so it may help the stye's and any puffiness xx:hugs:

i used to get a lot of styes when i was younger, and i know this will probably sound very strange, but...

put a cold used teabag on your eye, and when it starts to heat up, turn it over... any time i have done this it works wonders for me :)

I never heard of that! I will definitely look for it! Thank you!

Does it matter what kind of tea bag? These ideas are interesting because I always thought I was supposed to use heat lol thank you so much! Going to try these!

Heat is supposed to draw the pus out of the stye, making it go away quicker, but if you're not too worried, cold will bring the swelling down.

They are horrible! I hope yours clears up quickly. I get them sometimes when I'm run down.

You could also try soaking a make-up pad in hot water with quite alot of salt added to it, then holding it on the stye for as long as you can handle it. I've used this alot, aswell as the hot tea bag (black tea) trick. Both work well! Good luck!
