Hi Ladies, I know this thread will prob repeat some old ones, but I went through an MMC last week and had to have the ERPC procedure. I was wondering if you could share your success stories with pregnancies after your first AF or how long did it take you to get pregnant again.

I just need some inspiration right now and I'm kind of moving on slowly from our loss to now getting panics that it might happen again. I really want a baby and I dont want to give up but I'm petrified because its happend to me once maybe its something not quite right for me to carry. The doctor has said I have as good as chance as anyone for sucess it's just one of those things but it does not stop your brain going on overdrive. I know some of you poor ladies have had more than one MMC where my heart goes out to you its one of the worst experience of my life, again would just criple me.

It would be so lovely to hear some success pregnancy stories after 1mmc

Thank you xx

So far, so good :)
I had a lot of problems last time, but kept seeing the heartbeat, so thought everything was good. Went in for a scan at 10 weeks, baby had died sometime the week before. I was devastated, and things seemed to move so fast, I had the operation the next day.

I was back to ttc pretty quickly, and 4 cycles of bfns before I fell pregnant. It has been a nerve wracking time, but I have hit the halfway point, and am feeling positive.

This is my second pregnancy- one miscarriage, and hopefully, one healthy child.

Don't have a baby yet, but MMC last year, found out at 12 weeks, baby died at 9, ERPC at 15. Took us 7-8 months including the 3-4 really wonky months after the ERPC (which included a 34 day AF and 45 days without O).

Hey hun,

Whilst we are waiting for new stories, this thread might help https://www.babyandbump.com/pregnancy-after-loss/250561-success-stories.html - there is also a wonderful thread in the MC section about success stories after MMC's which is lovely to read to help pick you up that there is hope - which I promise you there is.

:hugs:

I've had 4 MC and 2 of theses were MMC. This has been over a long period of time... almost 16 years. I decided that it wasn't right for me to get pregnant straight away so made a conscious decision to wait... and wait until I felt ready. After the first MC I never thought I would ever cope with another... but I have. It hasn't been easy... at all, but its all been worth it. As you can see from my counter, today I'm 37 weeks pregnant :D It has been a hard journey but with medical support and the support from my family and friends we have made it this far.
Keep positive x

Thanks Iris, this is wonderful news you fell so quickly after your sad journey. I am so pleased everything is going really well for you, you reallly deserve this after what you've been through. We are going to wait for our first normal period too, the hospital said it was wise for dating as well. I am worred as it took us 6 months the first time round, but hoping we may be lucky this time, by heck we deserve some luck!!!

I was taking folic acid and then when got pregnant added the Pregnacare vits so I would have the iron etc. I get my histology report on Wed to see if there was a reason for the death, pretty nervous phoning up for these I have to say!!

Thank you so much for sharing your positive story it really gives me hope that the next will go as planned and we were just unlucky.

Thanks for your post hun, and wishing you a healthy and happy 9 months, take care xx

Honey I'm so so sorry, I had a MMC myself in October 09 and had an ERPC a week later. The pregnancy had ended at 8 weeks but I didn't find out until a scan at 10 weeks so I've been where you are now.

I had 1 normal period after the ERPC before I became pregnant again in December 09 and so far everthing is ok.

This time I was advised to start taking a pregnancy supplement with b6 & b12 in it aswell as folic acid (my previous pregnancy I was just taking folic acid) as it's apparently had research that linked the vitamins with preventing MC.

Good Luck honey, there is hope, I also promise you that xxx
