Sucking in teat?

We use the TT CTN bottles, we've recently changed to the stage 2 teats, she used to take ages to finish her bottles and get fedup because milk wasnt coming out fast enough. We also noticed that the teats would get sucked in sometimes that bad that it would completely go inside the bottle.

So we changed them and shes alot better on the new teats but we notice that sometimes the teats still get sucked in? Surely these teats can't be too slow for her too?

has anyone else had this problem?

I thought it was the bottle not the babys fault so i changed bottles and he doesnt do it now on stage 2

Shes on stage 2 teats now ( 3moths +) the next are 6months +.. surely she cant be on them already?

The teats might be worn out, they're only designed to last a few weeks. Ruby is a very impatient sucker and she's on Avent stage 3, for 3 months plus.

Oh god i hate tommee tippee teats!!!!!!! The 3mo+ are too slow for her so i tried the variflo and they're too fast! Cant win!!

unlike the other teats there is no air release valve like size 1 and we had the same problem. We have switched to vari-flow and its much better x x x

if the teats are caving in my midwife said to turn the bottle while baby is feeding its ment to stop it

Ooo we had this too.

I found soaking the teats in boiling water which softened them then rubbing and opening the anti colic valve so it was fully open helped alot!

I guess its cos they were new and the anticolic valve wasnt fully "slit" so couldnt open to let the air back in.

Now they work fine just like our stage ones did.
