Baby won't go to sleep in her cot! She has had her lunchtime nap in it 5 days out of 7 (ish) since she was a few weeks old.... Yet the last 2 times I've put her in there she has REFUSED to go to sleep there and has passed out in the wrap about 2 minutes after putting her in there.

Any ideas?!! Not over tired I don't think, and must be tired as she expires as soon as I wrap her.....

That's exactly what my ds did in the lovely 4 month sleep regression.... i ended up having to Co sleep, it wad the only way he'd sleep. I still tried his crib first every night, but when it didn't work I took him to my bed. Eventually after about a month he finally started sleeping in his crib again. Good luck!

Hm. Thank you!

I thought we were past the 4 month thing as the 2 hourly wakings at night have stopped... But now it's the turn of the afternoon nap to go wrong! Oh well, if I have yo wrap her for a while to get her in her cot that's ok....

She seems very disturbed at night tonight too - wonder if it's teeth too? There's so much going on at this time isn't there!

Merry Christmas x

My girl needed a LOT of holding, cradling and cuddling from ME and no one else between 4 and 5 months, every nap, all evening while she slept and then we bed-shared through the night. It was really really hard because I didn't know when it would end, but it has now. It's a phase, hold baby if baby needs holding and it will pass :)
Have a wonderful Chrimbo! x

Thank you. That's what I'm doing really..... This said, I am trying her in her cot at her lunchtime nap, hoping that one day she'll go back off again like she did.... So far she still hasn't nodded off in there.

Am I adding to the habit if I always get her up if she won't settle?

I think they are too young to learn habits as they are changing all the time. It will soon stop as quickly as it started I'm sure

Thank you. I actually managed to get her to nap in there for a whole 20 minutes this afternoon, she was exhausted so I thought it was worth a try! Bless her. So at least she's gone to sleep in there again, and hopefully the short nap thing will fix itself over the next little while too.
