Hi

Can anyone recommend any good first cutlery sets for my LO, he will be one this month. He's mostly been doing BLW, although I usually spoon feed him his breakfast. I let him have a go himself too though & he does ok with loaded spoons.
He's getting really interested in cutlery though - usually our shiny stuff! So I'd like to get him a set so he can have a proper play & try a fork too.
I've been looking on Amazon but I don't know where to start! Do I want plastic or stainless steel? I don't want to buy something that will be too big, or break within 5 minutes. I have a spectacular cup collection because I tried so many before I found the right one, so trying to avoid this with cutlery! TIA.

We use Tommee Tippee Explora first Cutlery set. It has plastic handles and metal for the bit that goes in your mouth. I found that forks with plastic prongs were no good because they are too blunt to pick up some foods with, she gets on really well with them.

Thank you, I was looking at those exact ones, & they are a good price too so I might just get them :)

Don't know what shops are local to you but our local tesco and asda both have these on offer quite regularly when they have their baby events. Worth keeping an eye out.
