*gentle hug* Storkstalker many of us have been in that dark, hopeless place. I was there for years before meeting DH when I was 35.
I had OHSS too on my first IVF try. The doctors said it was positive in many ways, it means you react well - a bit too well this time - to the medication. They can adjust your dosage and hopefully try again. It`s better than the opposite, not reacting to the meds! And yes the hormones can make one a little loopy. Please take the time to let your system flush these out. My FS decided to continue my cycle despite the OHSS and it ended in a chemical at 7 weeks.
The next try we got our bfp.
