Hello;) I have an almost 3 month old baby and I have pumped since day 1. I pump every 6 hours and recently he was eating 4 ounces every 2 hours. The doctor said to try 5oz so he could go every 3 hours. I have been having a hard time keeping up with the 5 ounces every 3 hours. Tonight for the first time I did 1 scoop of formula with 4 oz of my milk to see if he would be satisfied longer. Has anyone done this? How has it worked out for you?

Im not very up on combi feeding or mixing formula and breast milk. I would have thought though it would be best to pre-mix the formula (ie add the scoop of formula to the correct amount of water, mix) and then add it to the breast milk, rather than adding the powder to the breast milk. xx

Do you mean you're not pumping enough milk to keep up? You should be pumping every 3 hours... sounds like if you do that you'll have plenty of milk.
