Hiya,
Has anyone applied for this and how long does it take? I only just got my forms and can only see my HV on tuesday's but it says you got until baby is 3 months, well its only 4 weeks away from me, if i see HV next tuesday she signs it, leaves me with 3 weeks, how long will it take them? Was thinking of sending it recorder so it gets there quicker as well?!
Could really do with that £500 and it seems like i would qualify for it?! xxx

I think its as long as you APPLY within the time, it will be dated when u signed it and thats the date they go by... just ring you HV and ask her if theres anyway you can go see her or vice versa to apply, I got my letter already within 2 weeks so u should be ok, but do it 2m and send 1st class, they will process it monday prob, x

Oh really, yeah i may try and ring HV tomorrow then, cos she did say she would sign things for me, and need this so badly, brilliant you got yours though!!!

Mine took three weeks to get it! So it wasnt too long really! Still wished it was quicker though lol

I don't qualify for it just now but I've heard I can claim for it once the baby is born and I'm receiving tax credits. Not sure though xx

From which week in pregnancy can you claim it? Is it 29 or have i totally just made that up?

yeah its from 29 weeks, BUT if your on jsa and apply wait till its cleared before swapping to income support because if u change to income support and apply for the grant at the same time you might get caught in between and the system wont have u down for any benefit.. so apply once uve changed over or before, x

no worries, katie got hers denied becuse she applied inbetween.. had to re-apply at the end of her pregnancy, so i changed over then applied nd was no prob!
