I keep reading these articles in the Daily Mail about little Suri Cruise (bad, bad, bad I know). She is always wearing these silly little heels that look completely inappropriate and it always gets comments from people saying how badly the parents are doing.

Now I don't have kids (yet), but my first reaction is that thats just terrible parenting. I worked in a shoe shop for years and the amount of children I seen with bad feet was horrific. She really shoudl not be wearing something like that at all, she needs proper support at the heel and a strap across the top!

But, as I don't have kids, I can't argue that I wouldn't do it myself, if my little girl pleaded and fought enough to wear them.

Mothers of girls - would you let your 3 year old wear something as inappropriate??

The children I used to nanny for in America had little 'cinderella' dressing up shoes which were just cheap and cheerful and made of plastic(like these: https://www.amazon.com/Disney-Princess-dress-shoes-boutique/dp/B0006N8X1Y )....the kids loved them and sometimes wore them to the supermarket.
I don't really see anything wrong with it as long as it's not daily and she still gets to run around in trainers

i saw her wearing them and though it wa innapropriate, not because of the problems it may cause but because they dont make her look like a little girl but like a grown up,
at that age your supposed to be trying on your mums heels in front of a mirror for fun not actually going out in them.

I had the little plastic shoes when i was little and to be honest i couldnt walk in them so they were worn once for about 15 mins around the house, i think it's fine playing dress up around the house but out and about i'll have Soph in proper shoes xx

suri doesnt wear trainers. at least according to the hundreds of paparazzi pics i have seen. and she refuses to wear trousers, according to an interview her parents gave.
shes a girly girl :)
p.s i dont think we should even be talking about a child, its unfortunate that she was raised under the public eye and cant even go to the park without having cameras flashing

i think its disgraceful that any parent would even consider putting a young girl like this in high heels

and as for her parents saying she refuses to wear trousers, thats a bloody joke - she is 3 ffs, in my world 3 year olds do as they are told

i saw at least 4 different occasions where she has on heels.
even i cant wear them!
also she is almost always without warm clothes in cold weather.

little girls are dressing far too grown up for my liking these days, the amount of baby clothes now that look like a 16 yr old would wear them id never let my child wear such things and that goes for heels too.

I wouldn't let my 6 year old wear those shoes nevermind a 3 year old. Whats the saying "more money then sense" I think it definately applies to poor Suri's parents.

tom cruise has never been normal so i didnt think hed make a very good parent anyway let alone that katie she doesnt have a mind of her own since getting with that loon

Woah hang on just because Suri Has little high heels on does not make them bad parents?
Carly doesnt but i know she would love to! She is a girly girl and if she had her way then she would always wear them!

Ive seen her wear boots and trainers before! Sometimes little girls want to wear there special shoes out! Carly wore a briesmaid dress in town one time! It was a proper princess one but it makes them happy!

I dont see anything wrong with it ! If she was in them all the time then there is something wrong there but she isnt

I'm glad I asked now! My initial reaction is no, no, no! But I thought I was just being naive, as I don't have any kids.

My real pet peeve is seeing kids with bad feet, especially when you see kids whose heels slip off to one side. It wrecks their whole foot and they're still so young1

as long as her feet are developing as they should i don't see anything wrong with it if i'm honest, i think it's the press they like's to make a mountain out of a mole hill! because of who her parents are she's in the public eye, and we had that sort of money, then, honestly i'd spend it on maddi and what she wanted to wear x

Yep true!
People are so easy to judge! Totally understand if she was in them every time she went out but she isnt!
Infact carly wants a pair! Better not get em for her though.. dont want to be classed as a bad mum!

No I wouldn't. They don't need to be in trainers everyday but whats wrong with ballet flats or little boots?

lol - so true! the funny thing is i was looking at the dressing up shoes posted in this thread the other day thinking how i can't wait for maddi to have them, as i no she'll love them.
i no we see different people in and out of the press on a daily basis, and its hard to not judge them on what we see, but truly we have no idea about these people and what type of parents they are. surely as long as there children are happy and well cared for, what ever parenting style they adopt is down to them. we're never all going to agree on how to raise our children, but we're all doing the best we can :D xx

Shes the same age as my daughter. My daughter actually dresses like a 3 yr old.Plenty of time for heels and trendy clothes when she is older. Why waste away childhood?

Suri was born around the same time as Chloe. I would let her wear those kind of shoes for a party if she really wanted them and I couldn't convince her otherwise to get flats, but not out in the pissing rain, shopping with the strap undone (looks like it has been cut off)

ETA Actually I have been thinking about it and I dont think I would let her wear them to a party, children run about and play, I wouldn't go to the gym in heels
