Personally I couldnt do it because I would fear the attachment after and trying to tell myself that that child doesnt belong to me after carrying it for 9 months would be traumatic so anyone who does do it is amazing in my book. Its helping others and its an amazing gift...

I have thought about it recently and I would have no problem with being a surrogate for either a close friend or for my sister/SILs, but I don't think I would be able to go with the first option as others have stated; I feel that if the DNA was mine (i.e. my egg) it would make things that much harder. It would be hard enough after bonding with the unborn child for the 9 months.

But in short, yes I would be a gestational surrogate for somebody close to me
