sweep at 40+0

Hi Ladies I went in for my 40 week check this am and she did a stretch and sweep, I am 2/5 engaged and she said I was 2cm dilated with a soft stretchy cervix. She said before the sweep that she didn't think I would be ready to have a sweep as this is my 1st and today was my due date however she said afterwards that the sweep was very easy to do and she could feel the babies head. Now I am getting period type cramps and discharge could this be it???

Ooh sounds like It Hun! My labour with my first felt like period cramps to begin with! Keep moving to get the pains going! Sounds like it won't be long xx
