It probably varies but I really didnt get much out of the one I went to. We basically walked up and down the pool and did some star jumps in the pool. I didnt go back! I think I would just depend on instructor/area tho. Not sure what I expected but didnt enjoy it!
I'd go if my local leisure centre had any classes. I did some when I was pregnant with my son, and it was lovely! All very gentle, and the feeling of weightlessness in the water was lush (mind you, I guess you'd get that from swimming too though!!)
I have gone to normal aqua aerobics rather than aqua natal. The instructor just tells me the exercises I need to go easy on or not do and gives me an alternative. I feel knackered after each session but I get lots out of it and bubs just goes to sleep. Only thing I have found is as I got bigger I had to hold my bump for the "heel digs" and pool running lol.
