Swimming success?

Hi all,
I'm not very good at exercise but love swimming and have started going 2-3 times a week. I tend to swim between 36 and 52 lengths of the pool depending on how well I slept the night before!!

I guess I'm just looking for a bit of light at the end of the tunnel really! Since stopping BFing I have put weight back on, mostly on my tummy. I need it gone so, along with swimming I will trying to walk more with LO in the buggy, although the heat wave is deterring me at the moment!

Is swimming a good way to do this? I eat fairly healthily too I guess!
 
Swimming is excellent cardio. I go quite often and end up getting quite a good elevated heart rate out of it.

I don't think it will do much for your tummy though as I don't think you really use those muscles, but doing a few tummy exercises every day can really help.
