So with my first son I had a swinging crib which i still have and have been offered a cot aswell and it got me wondering how many people have a swinging crib over a cot for the first 3 months or is it just me? x

I have a swinging crib :) Luckily we got offered one from a friend, but I think we probably would have looked into getting one anyway as we want to save up for a nice cot when LO is a few months old. Plus I think babies just look so small in a massive cot!? Maybe that's just me though haha.

We'll be using a swinging crib but only because we're inheriting one from family, otherwise LO would be going straight into a cotbed. Now that we are getting one, it's something that I never realised I actually wanted, because I think LO will look cute in it while they're tiny :haha:

Ive got a swinging crib AND a moses basket lol. Origionally we were just going to use the moses in our bedroom, and then once she outgrows it we wud put her in a cot...but we have a cotbed so i thought it may be too big for her, so i convinced my OH tht we NEEDED a swinging crib.
So its swinging crib in the bedroom, moses basket in the frontroom to lay her in when i need my hands free or she wants a lil nap (or may keep it at the in-laws) and then cotbed once shes too big  is that too greedy? tho tbf all 3 of those things only cost me £80 in total :-)

Frankie was in a moses basket for the first 10-12 weeks then moved into his cot. X

thanks didn't realise how hard it is to get crib sets though everything seems to be for cots in the uk x

i have a swinging crib in our room, a moses basket down stairs and a cot in her room for when she is older. The only reason i have all 3 is because combined i have only paid £35!! they are all fab condiition and the swinging crib is my fave :) xx

Not sure what a swinging crib is? Is it the hammock thing?? Sorry from us and we call things differently. I have crib/bassinet/swing.

I have a hammock that will go up to six months... Moses basket no good for us as we have small dogs that would LOVE to investigate anything like that, so am keeping baby off the ground. We have hooks hanging around the house so we can move the hammock from place to place between sleeps.

wow... id never even heard of hammocks for babies!! my cats wud love that, once thyd figure out how to not fall out lol

i managed to get a crib bedding set tht matchex my moses basket and cot bedding on ebay. you can get some made to order aswell for a fairly decent price, but yea, just try trawling through ebay. or mothercare/babies-r-us if you want to make sure its brand new

My FIL is making us a swinging crib but we won't be picking that up until we go up North at New Years which is about a month after due date. So LO will be in a moses basket to start with, then swinging crib and eventually a cot. I'll probably keep the moses basket downstairs once we have the crib for ease of use.

I have been lent a moses basket and will use that upstairs and down. I have also been offered a crib but I just feel like I want to minimise how much 'stuff' I have. I have a cotbed for when baby is too big for the moses basket.

We've got a swinging crib for LO to sleep in our room for the first few months and a moses basket for downstairs. She will then move to her cotbed which is in her room.
