Swollen painful face?

Hi, Ive just spoken to my auntie who cares for my nanny, she says my nanny has woken up with a painful swollen face, her carer's have just said it could be a cold coming on?

I think this is absoloute rubbish, Ive told my auntie to call the doctor, but she is just going on what the carer's have said, there not medically qualified so how can they just say that??

My auntie isnt very hmmmm how can I put it, clever? She has problems herself and is a little on the slow side, I am worried for my nanny, she is bed/chair ridden and cant do anything for herself, although she is all there mentally.

She hates hospitals so is always reluctant to call the doctor, Im worried that this might be something serious...
