Taking a break from clomid after 4 months, any positve stories/advice?

After TTC for just under two years, one miscarriage and four rounds of clomid...DH and I have decided to take a few months off from the clomid. My doctor said she would only allow us to try with clomid for 6 months. So, we have two more tries. Anyone get pregnant naturally after taking a break from clomid...I've heard that clomid can continue to work the month after taking it...any positive stories or advice would be great.
