Bobby has really been messing around with his feeds the past few days. He normally takes 7oz 5 times a day but he now only takes 4-5oz and seems to start whinging after even though he doest want anymore!

Really dont know what to do? Has anyone else experienced this?

Just been through this myself! for about ten days she has been fussing over bottles, having 3 oz instead of 8 and being a general nightmare for feeding.

Today we turned a corner and she has eaten all of her 5 bottles - so 35oz in total such a relief!

I thought I should get a growth spurt around now but in 4 weeks she put on only 7 oz - but hv said it was ok. As she gets more active the more calories she puts on. I think messing with her milk is part of it.

I think it is just a phase - hope so!

My LO has been exactly the same for a wee while now. She takes half her bottle fine but then its a nightmare to try to get her to finish. She chews the teat, pulls her face away, pushes the bottle away. Not sure whats up with her either but its such a struggle to feed her now and shes only taking half as much as she used to! Any other posts re this will be helpful, lets hope its just a phase!!

My LO was starting to mess around a bit - it seemed that he was too interested in anything else going on - he was refusing his naps as well. If there are any distractions can you try moving away from them?

I hope Dylan doesn't start messing around with his bottles for any other reason, HV is already telling me off for not getting enough in him

Omg Evie has been going thru exactly the same thing for a fortnight now! She used to take around 30 oz per day but lately has been only taking between 22 and 25. I was really worried as Evie loves her bottles, and I was worried that it would affect her weight gain but when we took her to the clinic a few days ago, she's still on the same percentile curve that she was before she stopped taking so much :) The HV said that since Evie was born, her weight has jumped 2 percentiles which is quite a jump lol (she was 7lb 2oz when she was born) and she said it now looks like Evie has evened out her eating and is now putting on weight at a steady rate

Just on a side note, Evie started fussing with her bottles the day after her 2nd lot of jabs....
