Hi all,

I'm soon to be travelling with my 6 week old baby on a three hour flight. Has anyone had to travel with just their kid, and if so any advice?

Are u able to get a sky cot on your flight? Tips would be feed on take off and landing to help the ears, or a dummy. Take a blanket, sometimes the flights are cold. Try and get a spare seat next to u if u can, flights are so cramped anyway, helps to have that extra room. Have a lovely time! x

I will def look into the skycot option. Thanks for the tips :) I was a little worried about the pressure on his ears.

Just got back from a 3 week holiday with my 4 month old. The BEST thing we had for the flight was an inflatable breastfeeding pillow. Great for feeding (if your breastfeeding) and amazing for the baby to sleep in. We put the pillow on my husbands lap and Joe laid across it and slept for most the flights (three flights to get there, three flights to get home, nightmare!!). It was also handy for him to sit on while awake and bounce a bit. Then it can be deflated between flights.
A dummy and and favorite toy helps too.

oh i'll keep watch on this thread as my baby will have his first fly soon, a 10 hour flight.
