Has anyone else seen this vile invention :dohh::growlmad:
https://www.nestle.com/Media/NewsAn...-nutrition-system-for-babies-Switzerland.aspx

That's so horrendous it's almost brilliant! I suppose I can see it's usefullness, but yikes!

I am honestly in shock about it

i wasnt searching for it LOL it was all over my facebook!!

Ok I don't know anything about formula, but I don't get why it's so bad?

Don't flame me, like I said I have no idea how to make bottles up so I don't know if it's unsafe or whatever :flower:

i guess if you are ff then this is not such a bad thing? must be really expensive though?!

I have got to move onto formula in the next 3 month as my new job won't allow me to pump or carry on breastfeeding. This seems to me a fantastic innovation and I love the idea. If the pods aren't more than twice the price of say the cartons, I may just consider it.... But then ima big gadget freak lol

i dont see what is vile about it, and the article or whatever it is actually said breastfeeding for 6 months or more is supported by them
i think its a good idea and i would imagine it will be an even better way to ensure that feeds are sterile probably really expensive but if i ff i would consider buying it

I think it is innovative - technology will keep on getting better and this market is obviously big etc..I am sure they will sell quite a few and FF mums may find it convenient!

FF babies dont drink the same amount everytime. Each capsule with have a specific no. of scoops & the machine is programed to prepare feeds according to a standard measurement. Some babies drink 3-4 oz per feeds but others can go for 8-9 oz. Some newborns cant even drink more than 0.5-1 oz per feed. Some babies drink warm feeds & others prefer them at room temp.

FFing is more complicated that it sounds. Formula should be prepared at 70 oC to sterilize the powder, & it this machine is programed to prepare ready to feed bottles it will not sterilize the powder.

For me, it's a waste of money. xx

i never thought about the temp thing i allways made williams bottles with boiling water to make sure the formula was sterile so yeah the machine is a bit pointless if its making the feed up ready to drink.

I don't think it's that bad. Apart from it being made by nestle.

OT but it's the law that your employer provides you with somewhere to express, store milk and the time to do it :flower:

It's like a coffee maker..... but for formula... brilliant, lol. If you could just dump however much formula you want for the day... fill it with water.... and let the machine do the rest (if you could program it to make a '2oz' bottle every time, or a 8oz bottle), I think it would be worth the money for many moms.
Million dollar idea right there... wish i would've come up with it myself :haha:

Sorry, i didnt say that It's not the employer just the nature of the job. Being a police officer I could never guarantee a set time to pump and the rotating shifts will mean I'm awake at completely opposite times of the day. But if anyone has managed it, I would really love to know! X :flower:

I want one!!! Although I'm bfing!!!! I love gagets!!
