I phoned up today as from when Laila was born I was getting £127 a week in working/child tax credits and receiving £750 approx. a month wages. From april it went down to £109 week, even though i'm only earning SMP now (approx. £500 a month). I phoned up to see what i'd do about getting my money back up abit as i'm earning less and her response was that I need to inform them of my estimated earnings between april 2010 - april 2011 .. i said i didn't even know if i was going back to work yet and she said "best to just assume u are, the higher the amount the more tax credits..." .. wouldn't that mean if i didn't go back to work i'd end up owing them money? i'm confused
