When I got my new award notice after my renewal they had my income wrong as I was getting less than £100 per week mat pay therefore my income should have been £0 which I told them. Is it likely I'll have to pay money back? We get both working tax credits and child tax credits. Any help greatly appreciated as I'm worrying about having to pay back money I don't have when its their fault x x

If they had your income as more than you actually earnt then they will most likely owe you money. If you earnt more than they had down then you most likely will owe them money, although if you told them the correct income then i would fight it if this is the case.

They put me down as earning £3700 when really it should have been £0. I don't know if they only got it wrong on this years award notice though and it was correct last year. Hope it was wrong and they owe me lol x x
