Tax rebate

I recently wrote to my tax office has i'd had a period of not working and I had been on a wrong tax code for about 9 months. I sent off my P60 and a letter explaining. Now i've received my P60 back but wondered how long they take to look into my claim for a rebate?

I've had tax rebates a few times when i was a student etc. Sometimes the money has been sorted straight away and other times it has been done at the end of the tax year when my full position for that year was known. 1 time they adjusted my tax the following year so I could earn a bit more before paying tax to account for the overpayment.

ah ok, I was told to wait until end of tax year to get my P60 which is what I did, going to give them a call next week to see what is happening. As it's the last finicial year im in need of a rebate not the current one. If that makes sense.
