Starting yesterday, about three teeth on the top left/front of my mouth are suddenly very sensitive to cold. They ache if I drink something cold. I have never experienced this before. My teeth are in good condition and I have no gum swelling or tenderness. Anyone experience anything like this?

I haven't experienced this, but my cousin is a dentist and he's been on me about that saying, "Be careful you take care of your teeth! Your body takes what it needs for the baby and your teeth can start having problems. Make sure you floss." I trust him so I've been trying to be very good about it! Maybe a quick call to your dentist could help you figure out why it's started. I can't imagine it feels good so good luck!

It could be a sign of a deficiency. Which one? I don't know. Ask your doctor for blood tests (vitamin D, calcium, iron, etc).
In the mean time, you can use the toothpaste Sensodyne.

Strangely, as suddenly as the cold sensitivity started, it is now gone- after two days of pain. Weird. Hoping it stays gone!

Its common for teeth to hurt during pregnancy, especially since there is more blood flow to the gums. I went to see my dentist the other day and he suggested flossing a lot and flossing well so that we can keep our teeth healthy. He also recommended sensodyne!

So I've started on using sensodyne and also flossing after meals when I need it. Hope this helps :)

Definitely make sure to floss and maybe use a mouthwash (like listerine). My dentist told me that it's quite common for gums to get a little bothered in pregnancy, which means they recede a bit, so that more of your tooth is exposed at the gum line. You might not notice that it looks any different because it's such a small change, but the receding in the gum would probably expose the sensitive parts of your tooth. Sounds like it's better now, but just take extra good care of your teeth. If you're in the UK and haven't been for awhile, go get a cleaning at the dentist. It's free. I had one done in 1st tri and my teeth felt a lot cleaner after and I've had no gum/sensitivity issues (though I've had them in the past, when not pregnant).
