Do babies sleep more when they are teething?? Dec is in the grips of a really bad teething session, he is in a lot of pain, normally he is a very happy and content child he hardly ever cries but now he has cried non-stop, but the thing is he wants to sleep all the time usually he has 2 short naps a day but these past 2 days he is sleeping more is this normal with teething?? he is still sleeping at night from 8pm-7am

I'm not sure, and will be interesting to see what other mums say.

Oscar is cutting his first tooth now and has had me up at 5am every morning

Colton slept the whole day before he cut his teeth. But it was just one day.
He was probably up for 3-4 hours the whole day, and those were cut into about 30min at a time (when he woke to eat).
The only bad thing was he wasnt sleeping really well. He kept waking every 15 minutes, give or take a few. I guess because of the pain. He would start crying and so I would comfort him and he would fall right back to sleep.

Yeh, Kaya sleeps a lot more when she's got a tooth on the way. She also gets more clingy and cries randomly so it's great when she sleeps.
